“There is peace for you on the other side. Our tears will dry only after many wells have been filled. Our hearts will mend only after many days have passed. Our love for you will forever remain and one day we will be with you again.”
– Milton, A.
On 11 July 2018, my mum “Sue” passed away surrounded by her family in an intensive care unit. She was only 59 years young. Her death was sudden and unexpected – cardiac arrest. Her passing has left a gaping wound in my heart and a sense of emptiness that cannot be described. It is as if my limbs have been torn from my body and there is no one to hear my cries.
Through my mum’s spirit and inspirational strength, I share with you her journey after passing and my experience with grief, finding purpose and reclaiming hope. No two people grieve the same, there is no right or wrong way to grieve. It is an individual experience! This is mine.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
